Susan is an ethnobotanist and passionate defender of biodiversity. She is executive director of United Plant Savers. She currently serves as board member of the American Herbal Products Association Herb Research Foundation, an advisory board member of American Botanical Council and member of the IUCN medicinal plant working group. She is also on the board of directors for Botanica Dimensions and the Centre for Sustainable Economy. Susan is a member of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia. She lives on a farm with her 3 children where she raises goats, peacocks and herbs.
